Claude Motion Alternative: Turn Text into Motion Graphics

This Claude Motion alternative turns a website address or a written brief into a code-driven canvas animation that plays in your browser and downloads as a silent MP4. It is an independent tool, not the official Claude Motion feature from Anthropic, and it is meant for explainers, animated charts and walkthroughs when you cannot use the official one on your plan.

Independent tool. Not made by or affiliated with Anthropic. Claude and Claude Motion are Anthropic products. This page calls Claude Opus 5.5 through an API to write the animation code.

Your animation plays here. Write a brief or paste a website address, then press Make animation.

What this Claude Motion alternative does

You give it either a public website address or a short written brief about something you want to explain. Claude Opus 5.5 writes a program that draws every frame on an HTML canvas. The program is checked on the server, then runs inside a locked-down frame on this page that cannot reach the network, and you can play it, scrub through it, ask for one change at a time and export it.

  • What it makes

Text, shapes and charts in 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1, from 10 to 30 seconds, in one of 12 style presets. For a website it can also show that page's preview image. The MP4 is silent, so add sound in your editor.

  • What it does not make

No realistic people or footage, no sound, and no image uploads in this version. There is no comment tool on individual frames; you describe a change in words and the model rewrites the code.

How to use this tool

  1. Step 1

    Pick an input

Choose Written brief or Website URL. A brief is the only source of facts, so include the real numbers and names; a URL gives the model the page title, description, headings and button labels.

  2. Step 2

    Set the format

Choose 9:16, 16:9 or 1:1, a length of 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds and one of twelve style presets. Audience and where it will play are optional but help the result.

  3. Step 3

    Sign in and generate

Sign in, then press Make animation. 15 credits are taken first and returned if the run fails.

  4. Step 4

    Watch, scrub and revise

The animation plays in a sandbox on this page. Scrub through it, then give one revision instruction if something needs to change.

  5. Step 5

    Export

Export MP4 renders every frame at 30 fps in your browser. Where H.264 encoding is not available the button says WebM instead.

Inputs are limited to 2000 characters for an address, 2000 for a brief and 500 for a revision. One animation can run at a time per account, up to 20 a day.

How to use Claude Motion

The steps below are from Anthropic's own help article, checked on 5 November 2026. Claude Motion is in beta on Team and Enterprise plans. It is on by default for Team and off by default for Enterprise until an owner enables it in Organization settings > Artifacts. As of mid-October 2026 it was reported as not included in Free, Pro or Max.

  1. Start from any chat, from Output > Motion, or from a Motion template in the Artifacts tab.
  2. Say who will watch, where it will play and how long it should be, and attach your own material.
  3. Ask for changes. You can change one detail and the rest stays.
  4. Export an MP4. Usage counts toward your plan limits.

Claude Motion builds its animations as code that animates text, charts, shapes and images. It uses no video generation model and does not create realistic footage or people. Read the official Claude Motion guide.

Claude Motion graphics: what code-driven animation is good at

Because every frame is drawn from text and numbers you supply, this kind of animation suits charts, step-by-step explainers, timelines and product walkthroughs, where exact wording matters more than cinematic realism. For a longer written guide to the technique, read Claude Motion graphics: examples and tutorial.

Claude Motion examples

Examples written by hand in the same format the generator outputs. Generated results will differ. The brand names are placeholders and the numbers are made up. They play when scrolled into view unless your device asks for reduced motion, and each has a working export button.

0:00 / 0:0016:9

Quarterly results bar chart

Four bars grow in turn, the last one is highlighted with its change from the quarter before, and the clip ends on a placeholder brand. 16:9, 15 seconds.

0:00 / 0:001:1

Plan comparison

Three placeholder plans enter as cards, each one is lifted in turn while its features appear, then the brand closes the clip. 1:1, 15 seconds.

0:00 / 0:009:16

Three-step how-it-works explainer

A title, then one numbered step per scene with a progress indicator, ending on a placeholder brand. 9:16, 15 seconds.

Six briefs to copy

Each brief supplies its own facts, because the model is told to use only what you give it. Replace the example figures with yours.

Quarterly result chart

Animate a bar chart of quarterly revenue for Acme Demo Co. Q1: 42, Q2: 55, Q3: 61, Q4: 78 (millions; replace with your own figures). Grow the bars one by one with the value above each bar, highlight Q4 and state its change from Q3, then end on the company name. Use only these numbers.

Plan comparison

Compare three plans side by side. Solo: 1 seat, 3 projects, email support. Team: 10 seats, 25 projects, shared libraries. Scale: unlimited seats, unlimited projects, priority support. Reveal one plan at a time with its features, then show all three together and end on the product name and website. Do not show any prices.

How-it-works explainer

Explain how our product works in three steps for a first-time visitor: 1. Connect your account. 2. Choose what to track. 3. Share the report with your team. One step per scene, with a large step number and one short sentence, then end on the product name and website address.

History timeline

Animate a timeline of early printing for a history class. Around 1440: Johannes Gutenberg develops movable-type printing in Mainz. Around 1455: the Gutenberg Bible is printed. 1605: a newspaper is printed in Strasbourg. Draw the timeline line first, then add each event with its date, and end on the title "A short history of printing".

Classroom concept

Explain photosynthesis to 12-year-olds. Sunlight, water and carbon dioxide go in; glucose and oxygen come out. Use four scenes, one for each input or output, with simple arrows and labels, then close with a one-sentence summary. Friendly colors, no characters.

Customer onboarding steps

Show new customers how to get started in four steps: 1. Create your account. 2. Connect your data. 3. Invite your team. 4. Publish your first report. Vertical format, one step per scene with the step number, and end on the support address help@example.com.

Claude Motion alternative pricing

Every generation and every revision uses 15 credits. Credits are deducted before the model is called and returned in full if the run fails for any reason. The single automatic repair after an in-browser error is free. There are no free runs and no anonymous runs, so you sign in first. If you are short of credits, the page opens the same credit options as the rest of VibeAha; plans and packs are listed under pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the official Claude Motion?

No. This is an independent tool and it is not made by or affiliated with Anthropic. Claude Motion is an Anthropic feature inside Claude. This page calls Claude Opus 5.5 through an API to write animation code, plays that code in your browser and exports it, but it is a separate product with its own credits.

Do I need a Claude plan to use this page?

No. You do not need a Claude account or any Claude plan. You need a VibeAha account and enough credits for each run.

How many credits does an animation cost?

Each generation and each revision uses 15 credits. They are taken before the model runs and returned in full if the run fails. The one automatic repair after an in-browser error costs nothing extra. There are no free runs.

Can I paste any URL?

You can paste a public http or https address. The page is read on our server (title, description, headings, button and link labels and the preview image), and addresses on private networks, non-standard ports and non-HTML responses are not read, and only the first 1 MB of a page is used. If a page cannot be read you are not charged and can write a brief instead.

Can I change just one detail?

Yes. Use the Revise box under the player to give one instruction, such as changing the headline of the second scene. The model receives the full code and your instruction and returns updated code. A revision uses 15 credits, and the earlier version stays in My animations.

Does the MP4 have sound?

No. The export is a silent video. Add narration or music in your video editor.

How long can an animation be?

You choose 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds. The video is rendered at 30 frames per second in your browser, so a long clip at full size can take a while to export on a slower device.

Can it make realistic footage or people?

No. Like the official feature, it animates text, shapes, charts and, for a website, the site preview image using code. It does not use a video generation model and does not create realistic footage or people. You cannot upload your own images in this version.

What happens if something goes wrong?

If the model fails, runs out of room, returns unusable code or declines the request, your credits are returned in full. If the code throws an error when it plays, the page sends it back to the model for one free repair; if the repair fails, the job is refunded.

How is this different from Framer Motion?

Framer Motion, now called Motion for React, is a JavaScript library for animating user interfaces inside a React app. It does not write animations from a brief and does not export video. This tool writes a complete canvas animation from your text and exports it as a video file.

Official Claude Motion facts were checked on 5 November 2026 against the Anthropic help article.
